Millennials’ grocery carts contain prepared foods, pasta, and sweets
A study conducted by the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture’s Economic Research Service (USDA ERS), and published in Amber Waves, suggests that Millennial households—at all income levels—devote more of their at-home food spending to prepared foods than the other three generations (Traditionalists—born before 1946, Baby Boomers—born between 1946 and 1964, and Gen X’ers—born between 1965 and 1979).
