U.S. government report criticizes FDA’s recall response
A report released by the Office of Inspector General (OIG) of U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services (HHS) examining the Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) food recall process has concluded that the agency “did not always have an efficient and effective food-recall process that ensured the safety of the nation’s food supply.”
