‘New NAFTA’ receives mixed reaction from ag, industry
On September 30, the United States and Canada struck a deal to revise the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), allowing for Canada to join a pact hammered out in August between the United States and Mexico. The new agreement, known as the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA), was reached after more than a year of talks among the countries.
