Food Communicators Workshop

Whether it’s around the dinner table or on social media, people are talking about food. In the age of fear-mongering food bloggers and concerned consumers, these conversations can quickly become runaway trains of scientific misinformation. The purpose of the Food Communicators Workshop (FCW) is two-fold:

  • Empower students and new professionals with the knowledge and confidence to discuss food topics/issues in an effective way to communicate the science of food to a variety of audiences.
  • Develop a group of young food scientists who are actively engaged with educating the public about the importance and impact of food science and technology.
