Individual Presentation: Gas to Solid Technology: Using Solid Ozone to Reduce Food Waste and Foodborne Illness

During this presentation, Stephen Goldman, Onza's Chief Science Officer, will explain how Onza's innovative IP can create entirely new, real-world applications for beneficial gases when converted to solid form. Onza's first gas division has converted Ozone, a highly effective disinfectant, into a crystal form that can be shipped, stored, and slow-released to benefit food and agriculture manufacturers. The outcome of initial trials demonstrates significant shelf-life extension as well as greater safety through eradication of bacteria and molds in packaged food. The end result for manufacturers, as well as the global supply chain, is a potential solution to a trillion-dollar food waste problem, as well as thousands of lives saved. In addition, Onza's technology can potentially apply to global food insecurity, as well as contaminated drinking water, affording developing nations the opportunity for a low-cost solution for bringing fresh food and water to their populations.
