Oculto beerAged beer with tequila flavor
Anheuser-Busch
released its Oculto beer, which is brewed with blue agave then blended with beer aged on staves from tequila barrels. The premium beer features a label that uses both normal and thermochromatic ink. When the bottle is cold, the eyes in the design are filled in, but when the bottle gets warm, the brew is gone, or the consumer runs his or her finger over it, the filled-in circles fade to reveal an agave plant design.

Oculto was born from the insight that Millennial consumers are looking for ways to break free from the everyday and maximize their experiences, [and] they often turn to unexpected ‘mash ups’ for excitement,” says John Steed, marketing director. “Oculto is a unique lager blended with beer aged on tequila barrel staves for late-night occasions…out with friends.”

The beer, which is 6% ABV, can be found in high-end nightclubs, restaurants, and bars, as well as many grocery and liquor stores.
