Diana Food has opened its newest chicken processing plant in Banks County, Ga. The site is now operational, with the first commercial quantities expected to ship before the end of the year.

“This new plant represents a significant milestone for Diana’s operations in America,” said Yannick Riou, Diana Food president. “With more than 100,000 sq ft of space on 40 acres of land and an investment of over $60 million, we are able to apply a kitchen-like, gentle process to chicken on a massive scale. The result is that we can provide our customers with the best that fresh chicken has to offer.”

Adhering to the concept of “the closer, the fresher, the better,” Diana and its parent company, Symrise, made a significant investment right in the heart of the chicken belt, with direct access to sustainably-raised birds that are carefully selected and processed by their farmers. Responsible sourcing was a cornerstone in the selection of the Banks County site. Proximity to premium local sources ensures the supply of raw materials that meets the highest standards of animal welfare and addresses consumer demand for cleaner and clearer products, including no antibiotics ever and organic ranges.
