Fun Run T-shirt Information

Hey everyone!

This year at the Fun Run we are working hard to ensure that every participant receives the t-shirt size that they requested. In order to do this we will be following some new procedures at the registration booth more closely.

On the day of the race when you approach the registration booth you will be given the shirt size that you indicated when you registered. If the size is too small or too large we will be unable to make an exchange at that time. If on the day of the race you would still like to exchange your size, we will accommodate requests on a first-come first-serve basis depending on the shirts remaining. We will adhere to this policy to ensure that everyone receives the size they requested, so please choose your size wisely!

Thanks, and have an awesome weekend!

DAIRY AMERICA JOIN GDT – Source: Dairy Industry Newsletter May 21, 2013

Dairy America, the milk powder marketing arm of the four US dairy co-ops, California Dairies, United Dairymen of Arizona, O-AT-KA Milk Producers and Agri-Mark, said this week that they would join Fonterra's GlobalDairyTrade platform to sell product. The news comes only weeks after Amul of India said they would also join GDT (for milk powder sales). Last year, Arla Foods joined GDT as well as Murray Goulburn of Australia—but both have still to offer much product on the platform.

BRUSSELS - BUTTER PSA PASSES 40,000t – Source: Dairy Industry Newsletter May 24, 2013

Nearly 4,000 tonnes of butter was put into storage via the Private Storage Aid (PSA) last week (May 13-19). Following the entry into force of the measure at the beginning of March, just over 41,800t of butter has been taken up under the scheme. This compares with a significantly higher volume last year (73,300t) but is just a little less for the same period in 2011 (44,600t). Most of the tonnage was taken up in France (1,260t), Germany (1,040t) and in the Netherlands (925t). Butter stored in a given member state can be produced in any other EU country.

• A high-level conference examining the implementation of the EU Dairy Package has been scheduled in Brussels on September 24. A Commission study on dairy production post-quota (from 2015) is expected to be presented and discussed. The Commission has pledged to come forward with some "new ideas" on how best to deal with the end of the dairy quota regime in disadvantaged areas (AGRAFACTS).
