Cheese wedges in new flavors

Royal Hollandia debuted four new seasonal flavors of premium cheese wedges. These flavors add to the company’s lineup of cheese wheels, balls, snacks, and slices.

Royal Hollandia cheesemakers use techniques passed down through generations in Holland to make classic Dutch cheeses.

“We’re thrilled to be launching four deliciously unique flavors to the Royal Hollandia wedge product line,” said Deb Seife, marketing director for Royal Hollandia brand owner FrieslandCampina, in a press release.

The four new flavors of Royal Hollandia wedges include Black Garlic Gouda, Walnut Gouda, Garden Herb Gouda, and Very Berry Goat Cheese. Each wedge contains approximately 90 to 120 calories per serving. Additionally, each variety includes a flavor rating, ranging from mild to strong, and suggested pairings are highlighted on the package.

Six-ounce Royal Hollandia wedges are available at all Safeway and Costco locations at a suggested retail price of $8.99.

Red Lobster, now at home

Red Lobster announced the launch of its first-ever line of retail seafood products inspired by restaurant entrées. The new frozen offerings include Cheddar Bay Biscuit Shrimp, Coconut Shrimp Bites, Cheddar Bay Biscuit Cod, and Parmesan Crusted Garlic & Herb Stuffed Shrimp.

Founded in 1968, Red Lobster uses traceable, sustainable, and responsible seafood practices in all of its menu items. This includes both wild-caught and farm-raised seafood.

These new entrées join Red Lobster’s lineup of biscuit offerings to bring the restaurant flavors into consumers’ homes. The new shrimp and cod offerings use seasoning inspired by the popular restaurant biscuits as breading to create a crispy and tender eating experience. Each frozen product can be prepared in the oven or air fryer in less than 15 minutes for a quick and convenient dinner, party appetizer, or late-night snack.

Red Lobster’s frozen entrées contain between 170 and 230 calories per serving and between 0.5 and 5 g of saturated fat. The Coconut Shrimp Bites also include a sweet chili sauce for dipping.

Red Lobster frozen seafood offerings can be purchased at major grocery retailers for a suggested retail price of $7.48.

Puffed up tortillas

Rise & Puff launched a new line of better-for-you tortillas made without sugars or preservatives and with only four ingredients: flour, water, avocado oil, and salt.

What makes these tortillas unique is their ability to “puff” when heated, which the company attributes to its simple ingredient list. Because of the removal of certain stabilizers and preservatives, Rise & Puff tortillas have a flakier texture and cook in 60 seconds.

The tortillas come in three varieties: Original, Organic, and Gluten-Free. The Original and Organic varieties contain 100 calories per tortilla, and the Gluten-Free variety contains 80 calories per tortilla. The tortillas, which are Non-GMO Project Verified, come in an airtight, resealable package, and have a 40-day refrigerated shelf life.

“We believe great taste and better-for-you should go hand in hand, and it drives everything we do as a company,” said co-founder Mark Shaw in a press release. “From monounsaturated avocado oil to unbleached wheat flour, and the elimination of sugar, we view our tortilla as a canvas for better-for-you eating.”

The tortilla packs are available in specialty grocery stores in the Bay Area of California, with a wider launch expected later this year. Three eight-count packages of the Original Tortillas are available on the brand’s website for $33.99; the price for a three-pack of Organic or Gluten-Free Tortillas is $40.99.
