Petition Process and Guidelines
The slate was announced to the membership on November 25, 2024. As of November 25, 2024, at 8:00 a.m. CST, the number of Premier members is 6,108. Five percent (5%) of the total number of Premier members as of 8:00 a.m. CST on November 25, 2024, is 305.
Candidates have 3 weeks from the slate announcement to the membership to have signatures submitted to support their petition to require a competitive election for the IFT Board of Directors. The deadline for signatures to be submitted is 5:00 p.m. CST on December 16, 2024.
Signatures will be received and verified by IFT Audit Firm, CliftonLarsonAllen. Completed signature forms should be scanned and emailed to [email protected]. At the end of the 3-week period, the CEO of IFT will notify petitioning candidates whether or not they have reached the necessary threshold to require a competitive election for the IFT Board of Directors.
To verify the legitimacy of member support of the petition, the following shall apply:
A form will be provided to candidates who wish to submit a petition. The form will include the following information:
A copy of the form must be signed by 5% of Premier Members of the Institute. A wet signature is defined as the process of signing a physical paper document, form or contract with pen and ink. A copy of the wet signature on the provided petition form must be scanned and emailed to CliftonLarsonAllen ([email protected]) from the corresponding member email on file with IFT to be counted towards the total number of signatures.
