American Egg Board Eggcelerator Lab Product Development Competition
The American Egg Board invites undergraduate and graduate students in the United States to compete in the Eggcelerator Lab Product Development Competition, developing new food products incorporating eggs as an ingredient.
This competition will engage, excite, and encourage students to think big by showcasing their knowledge, expertise, and ideas in creating beverage products that focus on New and Novel Uses for Eggs in Beverage.
Competition Submission Letter and Preliminary Report are due January 20, 2026.

A combined $16,000 in cash prizes will be awarded plus a trip to Chicago to attend the 2026 IFT FIRST Annual Expo:
- $8,000 USD for first place
- $5,000 USD for second place
- $3,000 USD for third place

- First Place: Eggsential Cereal, Cornell University
- Second Place: Grab and Grow Custard, North Carolina State University
- Third Place: Midas Bites, University of Tennessee
