Award Description: A humanitarian works selflessly to better the world and human condition. This award honors an individual who has demonstrated the pursuit of humanitarian ideals and unselfish dedication to the food industry, academia, students, and/or the general public. Recipients of this award exemplify the core values of service, compassion, and commitment to advancing IFT’s mission in a way that elevates the well-being of individuals and communities alike.

Award: $3,000 honorarium from New York Section IFT and a crystal award from IFT

Criteria & Eligibility: Nominees must have made measurable contributions to the well-being of the food industry, academia, students in food science or closely related disciplines, and/or the general public. These contributions should reflect deep compassion and care for others, demonstrated by the lives improved through the nominee's influence or the achievements of others because of their support.
