The IFT Emerging Leaders Network (ELN) is a global leadership program established for new professionals in the science of food, who are eager to expand their leadership and networking skills to enhance and grow their careers.

The program is designed to bridge the gap between participants’ academic experience and on-the-job training. Since ELN’s inception in 2016, participants have been establishing meaningful, lifelong connections, gaining new insights into scientific and technological issues, and developing critical leadership skills needed to communicate the value of the profession.

In 2020, the ELN program transitioned to a virtual experience and continued to be held virtually in 2021. Along with many positive learnings, ELN participants’ experiences and feedback over these two years have led us to pause and reflect on restructuring the program to best meet the needs and demands of the changing landscape of today’s leaders in the science of food. In 2022, IFT will revise the ELN program to maximize value for participants. During this time, we will not be accepting applications.
