This award honors an individual who has made significant lifetime contributions to innovation in food packaging technology. The recipient will be recognized for advancing the science and practice of food packaging, helping to improve the quality, safety, and sustainability of food systems through their contributions.
Award: $5,000 and a crystal award from IFT
Criteria & Eligibility
Achievements may span various areas, including but not limited to communication, commercialization, development, research, and/or teaching. The nominee’s work must demonstrate how scientific ideas have been applied in practice to significantly advance food packaging, contributing to the evolution and innovation of food systems. Their efforts should align with IFT's vision of improving food for everyone, ensuring that scientific advancements in packaging lead to safer, more sustainable, and accessible food for all.
