Free range French toast

For those who crave fresh French toast but don’t have time to make it from scratch, Nellie’s introduces its Free Range French Toast Mix. Made by the company that’s known for its certified free range eggs, each package of French toast mix includes a full dozen. The mixes come in two flavors, Classic and Chocolate, and are low in sugar, low-carb, and gluten-free.

Making French toast has never been easier, according to Nellie’s. Simply add water, milk, or a milk alternative to the dry mix, stir to combine, dip bread in the batter, and cook. There’s no need to purchase lots of different spices or ingredients; it’s all in the bag.

The mix is currently available on Amazon and will soon be released in grocery stores that carry Nellie’s Free Range Eggs. The suggested retail price is $12.99 per bag, which makes 16 to 18 slices of French toast.

Kelp puff snacks

Blue Dot Kitchen aims to provide tasty, sea-based organic foods that help restore ocean health. The company recently introduced its first product, Seacharrones, a crispy, crunchy, salty puffed snack available in three flavors: Spicy, Salt and Pepper, and Umami.

Each bag of Seacharrones contains the dried equivalent of 1.5 ounces of fresh kelp sustainably grown by Blue Dot Kitchen’s partner farms, including its sister kelp farm, Puget Sound–based Blue Dot Sea Farms. Kelp is packed with antioxidants and minerals, including potassium, calcium, and iodine, which contributes to healthy brain function.

While land-based agriculture is associated with increased resource constraints and costs, open water kelp farming grows seaweed without the need for arable land, fresh water, pesticides, or fertilizer. Additionally, kelp sea farming enhances water quality and provides a cost-effective and ecologically sustainable food source.

Seacharrones are available in stores in the Puget Sound area and are also available for purchase at seacharrones.com.
