Regenerative oatmeal

Nature’s Path Organic Foods expanded its portfolio with the introduction of a Regenerative Organic Certified Flavored Oatmeal line that includes two varieties: Berries & Cream and Dark Chocolate & Cocoa.

Nature’s Path partnered with the Regenerative Organic Alliance to ensure that the oatmeal products meet the organization’s regenerative standards. The certification ensures that the product uses practices that benefit soil health, land management, animal welfare, and farmer and worker fairness.

“The food we choose to eat has a significant impact on the future of the planet, and conventional agriculture systems have eroded our soils and negatively impacted biodiversity,” said Jyoti Stephens, vice president of mission and strategy at Nature’s Path, in a press release. “Regenerative organic farming has the potential to help reverse these negative impacts.”

Each box of oatmeal includes six single-serve packets of quick-cooking whole grain oats. The Berries & Cream flavor contains 140 calories per serving, and the Dark Chocolate & Cocoa flavor contains 150 calories per serving. Both flavors contain 4 grams of protein per serving.

Nature’s Path Regenerative Organic Certified Flavored Oatmeal is available for purchase at major retailers for a suggested retail price of $5.29.

PORTA, a producer of authentic, ready-to-cook Italian meals, launched its Roman-style frozen pizzas at Whole Foods Market, Sprouts, and select natural retailers across the United States.

PORTA was founded by Italian chef and restaurateur Cosimo Mammoliti and uses ingredients sourced directly from Italy. The dough contains 80% water, resulting in a crispier crust when baked in a traditional oven.

“Our pizzas reflect the culinary heritage of Italy and are crafted with the same quality ingredients and recipes found in tucked-away Italian restaurants,” Mammoliti said in a press release.

The new PORTA pizzas are available in four flavors: Margherita, Pepperoni, Sausage & Caramelized Onion, and Mushroom & Fontina. Each variety is made with Italian flour and tomatoes, features a hand-tossed crust, and has a suggested retail price of $10.99.
