From the Expo Floor Day One

Attendees lined up at Kraft Heinz Ingredients Corp. (booth 2048) for a personalized bottle of Heinz tomato ketchup.

Robotiq (booth 4436) demonstrated its palletizing/depalletizing system on the Expo floor. The company states that they aim to create “cobot” solutions, or a robot with the assistance of a human employee, for the food and beverage industry.

EXBERRY by GNT (booth 1680) showcased its range of colors and their influence on flavor perception with a rainbow build-your-own snack bar.

Ingredient maker Marroquin Organic International (booth 2021) offered attendees samples via its vintage, bespoke truck. The brand’s portfolio includes fibers, proteins, starches, sweeteners, and yeasts.

Several exhibitors showcased texture ingredients and binders added to plant-based proteins to improve their quality. Foodology by Univar Solutions (booth 407) offered samples using pea and soy proteins.

Bunge (booth 2012) displayed its protein and lipid ingredient offerings through a chicken drumette sample and a French silk pie cookie sample.

Ocean Spray (booth 3634) brought in a research chef to demonstrate applications of dried cranberries in three trending flavors of trail mix: nostalgic PB&J, sweet and tangy, and bold hot honey.

In the Startup Pavilion, last year’s pitch competition runner up unClassic Foods (booth 4474AQ) offered its latest product, oyster mushroom nuggets.
