Artemis International, the supplier of Berryceutical ingredients, is building on its extensive dark berry extracts portfolio and expanding its ingredient offerings. Its new product lineup includes WHOLECran, which delivers the complete nutritional power of whole cranberry solids in a stable, free-flowing format and has a guaranteed 4% proanthocyanidin content.

Other new products include Organic ElderCraft High-Fiber Extract, which combines Iprona Polyphenol Technology–enriched elderberry extract with elderberry pomace, resulting in a 100% elderberry product, as well as ACEPlus and ACEMax, which offer the benefits of multiple high-antioxidant berries in a single ingredient.

Glory Kingdom Corp. recently launched Vit-Gute, a new daily dietary supplement that supports gut and immune health. Developed for both adults and children, Vit-Gute is formulated to enhance digestive and immune health in convenient fruit-flavored, water-soluble capsules for easy consumption. The formula contains Benicaros, a clinically validated precision prebiotic from NutriLeads, as well as natural yeast-derived zinc and Japanese postbiotics.

INDUSTRY UPDATE

Australia has approved milk fat globule membrane (MFGM) for use in infant formula products, granting exclusive commercialization rights to Arla Foods Ingredients. MFGM occurs naturally in human milk and contains phospholipids, sphingolipids, and gangliosides. Arla Foods’ Lacprodan MFGM-10 was the first bovine MFGM ingredient for the global formula market and has been clinically documented for infant nutrition and immune health.

As market demands shift and consumer expectations rise, Hydrite, an integrated manufacturer and supplier of ingredients, processing aids, and related services, is enhancing its portfolio to better support food manufacturers with high-quality ingredients and tailored services. The refreshed program will include the use of multifunction liquid ingredients, which are easier to handle and integrate than traditional dry ingredients. These liquid solutions simplify processing and improve consistency, helping manufacturers streamline operations and reduce formulation complexity.

Gonmisol, part of the SUANNUTRA Group, one of Europe’s leading providers of science-backed functional ingredients, has formed a strategic partnership with India-based K. Patel Phyto Extractions, a leader in phytoextracts with an extensive range of herbal extracts, phytochemicals, and food ingredients backed by rigorous scientific validation.

This exclusive agreement grants Gonmisol distribution rights across Europe and the United Kingdom for a curated portfolio of science-backed Ayurvedic botanical extracts. The two companies will work together to create new solutions, with the initial focus on women’s health and metabolic wellness.

A partnership funded by the government of Flanders will train rice farmers on Sustainable Rice Platform standards in Vietnam. BENEO, a leading manufacturer of functional ingredients for food, feed, and pharma, is partnering with international nongovernmental organization Rikolto, and climate technology company CarbonFarm to launch the three-year project to promote sustainable rice production in Vietnam. The project launched by BENEO and its partners aims to reduce the environmental impact of rice production and encourage the transition to sustainable, climate-resilient rice cultivation.

Biotech startup Novella Innovative Technology and leading functional ingredient innovators Metaphor Foods, Braeside, Victoria, have announced a strategic partnership to spearhead a new paradigm for natural preservation in food applications. Novella creates pure compounds from plant cells using novel, precision-controlled environmental technology. The new collaboration will leverage Novella’s AuraCell technology to deliver natural antioxidant and antimicrobial compounds via a waste-free, resource-efficient supply channel. These compositions will be part of Metaphor Foods’ Hela Natvance range of natural food protection solutions.

Cyvex Nutrition, a provider of high-quality nutraceutical ingredients and a member of the Bioriginal Group of Companies, has partnered with Finnish ingredient innovator Eevia Health to bring an extra-strength elderberry extract to the North American market. This collaboration combines Eevia’s advanced extraction technology with Cyvex’s legacy of polyphenol-rich botanicals to deliver FENO-SAMBUCUS 30, an immune health ingredient tailored for formulators focused on clean labels, reliable supply, and measurable efficacy. It includes double the anthocyanin and polyphenol content of typical elderberry extracts, standardized to ≥ 30% anthocyanins and ≥ 50% total polyphenols, including high levels of proanthocyanidins.

NutriLeads has appointed InVita as the exclusive distributor in Australia and New Zealand of Benicaros, its clinically validated precision prebiotic for functional food, beverage, and dietary supplement applications. This collaboration gives manufacturers in the region access to a trusted specialty ingredient supplier and product developer and an award-winning, science-backed solution for immune and gut health.

ADM recently published new research that examines protein consumption and innovation, with a specific look at consumer motivations and novel sources spurring new protein product development. The research shows that protein as a macronutrient has never been hotter, and manufacturers face increasing demand for products with higher protein content, varied protein sources, heightened nutritional value, and pleasing sensory experiences.

Some of the most highly recognized sources of plant protein include soy, chickpea, and lentils, the report shows. When exposed to new alternatives, plant-forward consumers are more interested than ever before in trying fermentation-derived proteins as well as proteins with hybrid/blended sources.ft
