The Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) has announced the 10 finalists in its 2nd annual IFTNEXT Food Disruption ChallengeTM competition. The companies will now take part in virtual pitches and the judges will select five finalists for the final pitch event to be held as a featured session at IFT19 in June in New Orleans. They will pitch to the audience of IFT19 attendees and a panel of judges that include food industry veterans, startup experts, and venture capitalists. At the end of the session, the judges will announce the IFTNEXT Future Food Disruptor of the YearTM, which includes a $25,000 grand prize, and the audience’s selection for the people’s choice award, which includes a $5,000 prize.
