CHICAGO – January 20, 2025 – The Florida Section of the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT), a nonprofit scientific organization committed to advancing the science of food and its application across the global food system, is hosting its annual Suppliers Night Expo on January 23, 2025, at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort in Orlando. One of the fastest growing IFT Section Supplier Night Expos in the world, this unique showcase of food innovation and technology provides a unique glimpse into the future of food, uniting the Florida food community for a day of networking and education.
Short course seminars will be held from 8:45 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. ET in the Conway Room. Cameron Carriglio will kick off the short courses with “Proteissimo 102 – A Sustainable Source of Complete Protein,” followed by “Inulin and the GLP-1 Craze – How it Impacts Formulators,” presented by Charles Purcell and Dylan Morton. Jeremy Choo and Elizabeth Lee will then discuss “Evolution of the Orange Crown: How King’s Hawaiian evolved from Hawaii to the continent US” with Dan Force and Paulina Widger wrapping up the short course seminars with “Colostrum Unveiled: A Revolutionary Path to Women’s Wellness.”
The Expo floor, located in Gatlin C Expo Hall, will then be open from 1:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m., followed by a social hour. The IFT Florida Section connects hundreds of members spanning all areas of the food and beverage industry across Florida with thousands of other food professionals to share knowledge and develop relationships. The IFT Florida Section actively supports its local communities, funding tens of thousands of scholarships every year. IFT Sections allow food science professionals to network with their local peers through a variety of events and opportunities. IFT has 47 Sections spread across the U.S., as well as Mexico, Japan, England, and Canada.
