Tom Adams Tom Adams, PhD, is the cofounder and CEO of Pairwise, a company using CRISPR and other gene-editing tools to develop next-generation crops. He previously spent nearly two decades at Monsanto, most recently as vice president of global biotechnology leading product development teams. A former Texas A&M faculty member, Adams has a doctorate in microbiology and plant science from Michigan State University and a bachelor’s degree in botany and plant pathology from Oregon State University.
