As a global organization with members in more than 90 countries, IFT is dedicated to advancing the science of food and its application across the global food system. To work towards achieving our mission, we recognize the importance of collaborating with peer organizations serving the science of food professional community in various countries. IFT builds values for its members by working across borders sharing content, promoting activities, and building networks that connect science of food professionals wherever they live. We embrace strategic partnerships with other organizations that share our mission and vision for a world with a safe, sustainable, and nutritious food supply for all.
IFT partners with peer organizations in a number of ways, with a goal of maximizing access to important and innovative content and expertise across borders and organizations. Instances of partnership include publishing exchanges, event opportunities, content and resource sharing, co-sponsored awards and recognition programs, and other collaborations that result in strengthening organizations that serve our common science of food community.
The organizations listed below are partners with whom IFT maintains active partnership programs of varying types, as well as a shared notion of mutual support and promotion, with the aim of empowering more professionals with the tools needed to effect positive change in the global food system. IFT serves as the U.S. adhering body to the International Union of Food Science & Technology. We also support the efforts of Phi Tau Sigma, the honor society of food scientists.
