Biorigin achieves gold rating in sustainability from EcoVadis
Biorigin has received the gold rating from EcoVadis, a collaborative platform that provides sustainability rankings involving suppliers for global supply chains.
Biorigin (Açucareira Quatá S.A.) has received the gold rating from EcoVadis, a collaborative platform that provides sustainability rankings involving suppliers for global supply chains. Biorigin was ranked among the 1% of the 55,000 companies participating in the EcoVadis 2019 Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) assessment, with a score of 68/100. EcoVadis evaluates sustainability performance against 21 criteria and four categories, covering environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement practices.
“We have built a solid path to demonstrate to our stakeholders that our ingredients, in addition to their natural origin, quality, and technology, have important environmental added value to food and feed industries worldwide,” said Mario Steinmetz, director at Biorigin, in a company press release.
