Culinary and cultural education tour of Italy offered this summer
Oldways Preservation & Exchange Trust and the Harvard School of Public Health have partnered to offer a culinary education program in Italy this June 22-28.

Under the Tuscan Sky: Culinary and Cultural Education Tour for Food Lovers features cooking lessons, classes on Tuscan wine and food preparations, tasting sessions, and visits to some of Tuscany’s cultural splendors. A unique feature of the program is a parallel continuing education course for physicians and dietitians. The health professionals and food lovers attend separate morning sessions and then meet together for traditional meals and special culinary events such as visits to olive groves, vineyards, agricultural centers, museums, markets, and other activities that compliment the educational programs.

The food lover program will be led by K. Dun Gifford, Oldways’ Founder and President, and Nancy Harmon Jenkins, food writer and author of Flavors of Tuscany and The Essential Mediterranean.

For more information about the courses, contact Daphne Reeve at 617-896-4818 or [email protected] or visit www.oldwayspt.org. Oldways, based in Boston, is a nonprofit educational organization promoting healthy eating, sustainable food choices, and preserving traditional foodways.
