High-protein cereal

GHOST, a lifestyle brand known for its portfolio of sports nutrition products and energy drinks, recently partnered with General Mills to introduce a new line of high-protein cereal.

“Functional foods are an obvious and long-awaited extension of our brand, and there couldn’t be anything more authentically GHOST than launching our own better-for-you cereal,” said cofounder and CEO Dan Lourenco in a press release. “It’s a privilege to work with one of the legends in the cereal game, General Mills, on this exciting product.”

GHOST Protein Cereal is available in two flavors: marshmallow and peanut butter. These flavors contain between 17 and 18 grams of protein and 6 to 10 grams of sugar per serving. Additionally, the cereals contain calcium and potassium.

GHOST Protein Cereal is available for purchase at U.S. mass retailers and grocers for a suggested retail price of $9.99.

Authentic Mexican simmer sauces

SOMOS announced a new line of Taco, Fajita, and Al Pastor Taco Simmer Sauces, inspired by the rich and complex flavors of traditional Mexican meals.

Cofounded by a group of Mexican-American friends, SOMOS aims to bring authentic Mexican flavors to U.S. consumers with easy-to-make products. The brand states that its products are intended to bridge the gap between flavor and convenience.

“Growing up, my mom would make the most delicious and complex sauces that would take her hours to perfect, and our goal with this product line is to bring consumers sauces bursting with flavor but ready in a fraction of the time,” said cofounder and CEO Miguel Leal in a press release.

Each simmer sauce is made using high-quality ingredients, the majority of which are sourced from Mexico. Each of the three varieties is packaged in 12-ounce jars and contains between 25 and 30 calories per serving. The sauces can be easily paired with chicken, beef, or pork.

SOMOS Simmer Sauces are available for purchase at Walmart, Target, and Publix for a suggested retail price of $4.99.

Boldly flavored ice pops

Ice pop maker Bomb Pop introduced its newest product, Extremes. This new product launch offers “intense taste sensations” using bold flavor combinations while maintaining the brand’s iconic rocket shape.

Bomb Pop Extremes are available in three flavors: Super Sour Strawberry, Fire Cherry, and Blue Raspberry Freeze. Each flavor contains three layers of flavor within the ice pop to combine popular tastes, such as sweet and spicy and sweet and sour.

The Fire Cherry and Blue Raspberry Freeze flavors contain 40 calories per pop, and the Super Sour Strawberry flavor contains 100 calories per pop. The brand stated in a press release that this product is targeted to teens and tweens seeking new, intense flavor experiences.

“We’re thrilled to innovate a product that’s perfect for teens and tweens who crave adventure and excitement in their food,” said Alnese Thomas, senior brand manager, in a press release.

Bomb Pop Extremes are available for purchase at U.S. retailers for a suggested retail price of $3.99 per box of 12 pops.ft
