Hostess Brands announced the launch of Hostess Kazbars, a candy bar–inspired treat for the snack cake market. This new snack combines layers of chocolate cake, crème, candy crunch, and caramel or fudge.

“We know that consumers are craving multitextured snacks,” said Christopher Balach, general manager of Hostess Brands, in a press release. “This new kind of snack delivers the familiar, moist Hostess cake consumers know with a new fusion of layers and textures.”

The new Hostess Kazbars are available in two flavors: chocolate caramel and triple chocolate. The triple chocolate flavor contains 150 calories and 16 grams of sugars, while the chocolate caramel variety contains 140 calories and 17 grams of sugars. Both flavors contain 5 grams of saturated fat.

Hostess Kazbars can be purchased in eight-pack boxes with individually wrapped 1.25-ounce mini bars or as single 2.75-ounce bars. They are available at convenience stores and grocery retailers nationwide for a suggested retail price of $4.49 per eight-count box and $2.79 per single bar.

A New York favorite, now in stores

Magnolia Bakery is bringing its famous banana pudding flavor to grocery stores with its first retail offering. The banana pudding cookies reimagine the bakery’s bestseller in a shelf-stable soft cookie.

Magnolia Bakery Banana Pudding Cookies are available in three flavors: Classic Vanilla with white chocolate chips, Chocolate Chunk, and Confetti with white chocolate chips. Each flavor is formulated with real butter, real bananas, and real chocolate.

“We validated through a recent brand study where nearly 70% of consumers shared they’d most like to see our brand expand to grocery store shelves next,” said Eddie Revis, chief marketing officer, in a press release.

The new Banana Pudding Cookies from Magnolia Bakery can be purchased at major grocers, such as Walmart and Harris Teeter, and on Amazon. The cookies are available in a four-pack of individually wrapped treats for a suggested retail price of $7.99.

Mars announced the addition of the TWIX Cookie Dough bar to its lineup of chocolate confections. This mashup of two treats offers the nostalgia of eating raw cookie dough while enjoying a familiar favorite.

The new flavor of TWIX bar features a cookie dough–flavored layer of creme paired with the brand’s traditional cookie bar, all coated with milk chocolate. One serving size, which consists of two TWIX cookie bars, contains 200 calories, 17 grams of sugars, and 6 grams of saturated fat.

TWIX Cookie Dough bars can be purchased in three sizes: single size (1.36-ounce per bar), share size (2.72-ounce per bar), and a minis stand-up pouch (9.7-ounce per pouch). The single-size bar is available at major retailers and convenience stores for a suggested price of $1.99.
